The future of our planet hinges on our ability to take action this year before it’s too late to prevent the worst consequences of the climate crisis.
We’re running out of time.
Scientists have made it clear that if we don’t take action this year to reduce greenhouse emissions and address the climate chaos ravaging our communities — it will be too late to prevent a deadly catastrophe for our planet.
But Sen. Joe Manchin recently made it clear that he’d rather please his fossil fuel donors than take action. Manchin officially announced that he would not support any climate investments this year and has killed the Senate’s chances of passing a bill.
It’s disappointing, but not surprising as the #1 Senator who receives donations from the fossil fuel industry. Manchin’s decision is an urgent reminder why we must elect Charles Booker and elect a leader who will proudly vote for climate action.
But now, our chances of taking any action this year hinges on President Biden. He must declare a climate emergency and authorize critical investments before it’s too late.

Will you add your name right now to urge President Biden to declare a climate emergency? The future of our planet hinges on our ability to take action this year before it’s too late to prevent the worst consequences of the climate crisis.

Our so-called leaders in Kentucky, like Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, don’t care to be honest with us about what the future holds. They certainly don’t care to ensure that future generations will have a viable planet to live on.
They’ve ignored the environmental effects on small farms that are fighting every day to stay afloat. They’ve ignored coal miners with Black Lung, and coal communities that have lost vital revenue, and aren’t doing enough to make sure they aren’t left behind. And the longer they stay in office, the longer they’ll continue to ignore us and what we need to survive, much less thrive.
Kentucky is one of the largest coal-producing states in the country, and our economy has been rocked by the decline of the coal industry. Other states are in similar positions. We need to build an economy that thrives on clean, renewable sources of energy — not one that depends on fossil fuels.
That’s why Charles is proudly fighting this election to pass a Green New Deal so we can finally address the climate crisis. But before we can get to work, we can’t waste anymore time: Joe Biden must declare a climate emergency.
Please, if you have 1 minute to help, add your name right now to our petition. President Biden must declare a climate emergency and take immediate action now that the Senate is unable to pass a climate bill this year.
Together,
Team Booker
