Friend, Tim Scott’s story is anything but ordinary.
When Tim was a young child, his parents split up and he moved into his grandparent's house with his mom and brother. His mom worked 16+ hours a day just to keep food on their table.

His mom and grandparents stressed the importance of education - even though his own grandfather didn’t know how to read. They knew an education was the closest thing to magic and a ticket to the American Dream.
When Tim was in high school, he had dreams of playing professional football for the Dallas Cowboys. That dream was shattered when he was in a life-threatening car accident that left his mom’s AMC Gremlin totaled.

In the face of academic and personal struggles, Tim found the right mentors along the way that taught him the importance of hard work and perseverance. He went on to college and learned that he could use business and financial literacy to help many people improve their lives.
Along the way, he decided to run for political office to further work on securing the American Dream for as many folks as possible. After serving as a Congressman, he is now proudly serving as a US Senator for South Carolina.
