Hello John, my name is Jeremy Dumkrieger and I’m the Chair of the Woodbury County Democratic Party in Iowa and currently running for County Supervisor in D2. 

J.D. knows just as I do how much these local races matter to our communities. 

In Woodbury County, our entire Supervisor Board is controlled by Republicans. It wasn’t always this way. We used to have Democrats elected to the Supervisor Board. But not anymore.

Our voices for equity and opportunity are being drowned out by a sea of red in Iowa’s government. As a result, we’re seeing our public schools get defunded and a mental health crisis that is being swept under the rug and ignored.

Candidates running in the big national races get millions of dollars to fund their campaigns, but local races are often underfunded and lack grassroots support.
