JOHN,

Tomorrow marks 13 years since the federal minimum wage last increased, to just $7.25 an hour. Since then, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and too many families are struggling to keep up.

This year in Rhode Island, our minimum wage was increased to $12.25. This is a step in the right direction, but we can't stop there. We must ensure families in Rhode Island and across the country earn wages that allow them to keep up with rising costs.

It's time Congress take action to raise the federal minimum wage. Seth supports raising the minimum wage and will work to pass legislation to ensure workers in every state are paid a living wage. Meanwhile, his Republican opponent, Allan Fung, has consistently opposed raising the minimum wage for Rhode Islanders.

JOHN – no one who works 40 hours a week should struggle to put food on the table. Families can't afford to wait any longer for a minimum wage increase.

Thanks,
