Mitch McConnell only needs to flip one seat to take back Senate control. Michael Steele, the former Chair of the RNC, says if McConnell succeeds his first action will be to eliminate the filibuster. That will allow the GOP to unleash an unrestrained, radical, dangerous agenda – likely including a national ban on abortion – that is drastically out of touch with our fundamental values as Americans.

Today, I'm making a simple request that will help stop him: a $5 donation.

I know it doesn't sound like much, Friend, but you have my word – grassroots contributions like yours are what enable campaigns like this to protect must-win seats and keep Democratic control of the Senate.

And the honest to God truth is this: With such a dangerous GOP eyeing recapturing the Senate majority – and only a single Senate seat standing in the way of them succeeding – not one supporter of our democracy can stay on the sidelines right now.

The fallout from Roe v. Wade being overturned is proof enough. Republicans worked for decades to gain enough political power – from the states to Congress to the Supreme Court – to demolish Roe, and they aren't stopping there. They are scheming to prosecute women who travel to other states seeking abortion care. They are hellbent on prosecuting doctors providing abortion care. They are determined to pass a national ban on abortion altogether.

Senate Republicans have more than $30 million sitting in the bank with which to achieve all of this.

I will go toe-to-toe with this band of extremists on the campaign trail and in the Senate. I'm already leading the fight to pass legislation that will prevent the GOP's sickening attempts to prosecute women who cross state lines for an abortion. But I cannot – Democrats cannot – win this fight alone.

It's your $5 that will enable us to win. Because when you donate $5, and someone else donates $5, and thousands of others follow suit, it adds up to a powerful grassroots movement that's able to fight and win against the GOP's mega-money machine.
