Earlier this week, I introduced the Expanding Access to Family Planning Act alongside Senators Patty Murray and Elizabeth Warren, which would protect critical reproductive health care services, and shore up funding for:

• Birth control education,
• Infertility services,
• STI + HIV screenings,
• Cancer screenings,
• Wellness exams, and more.

And Republicans just blocked it.

Funding family planning services shouldn’t be controversial, but of course, we can’t rely on Republicans to do anything other than obstruct — especially when it comes to controlling women’s bodies and their medical decisions.

We must do everything we can to expand our majority this November. We need to get rid of the filibuster, fund reproductive health care, and restore abortion rights.
