Strengthening the economic relationship between Caribbean nations and the US is pivotal to ensuring a prosperous future for our region. That’s why I wrote a bill to do exactly that, which just passed the House.

If my bill becomes law, it will:

• Fortify cooperation with the Caribbean people to promote equitable economic growth
• Invest in economic development, poverty reduction, democracy, and civil rights
• Prioritize and promote a worker-centered trade agenda that advances environmental sustainability, racial equity, and overall fairness

I am fighting every day to strengthen economic ties between the Caribbean and the United States and create a brighter future for the Virgin Islands.
