It is officially the Week of Action! We are asking you to take one action every day this week, and have included six possible actions for you to take (scroll to see the list), with the most important action being the “End the Witch Hunt” sign-waving events.

If you haven’t already, please organize a simple sign-waving to “End the Witch Hunt” on a busy corner in your community or outside your Congressman’s office as soon as possible. We’ve included a one-page guide to walk you through organizing one if you need help.

Register your event on our website so that when people are looking for an event to attend, or ask us to refer them to a local event to attend, we can find one and point them in the right direction. Register your event here: www.teapartypatriots.org/create-an-event. Please register your event as soon as possible so others can plan to attend!

**Remember, being visible in your local community is SO IMPORTANT to send the message to your member of Congress that their constituents DO NOT WANT impeachment!

If for some reason other people wind up NOT being at the event that you attend, and you are with a buddy, stand and wave your signs anyway! Take some selfies on your phone and text them to (404) 996-1717 or email them to us at [email protected]. Who knows who you could influence as they drive by you and read your signs?

Organize/attend an “End the Witch Hunt” sign-waving event in your local community

As explained above, in order to combat the media’s megaphone and the Democrats’ abuse of power, we must be visible in our communities. Please organize an event if no one else has, register on our website, and start getting the word out!

Call your Member of Congress

If your member is a Republican, simply call to say thank you and tell him/her to keep up the great work. Tell him/her that constituents appreciate the Republicans’ strong, unified opposition to this impeachment sham.

If your member is a Democrat, you can use the following sample script or come up with your own. “Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I’m calling from [City, State] to register my fierce opposition to this impeachment sham. We all know there was no crime and that this is a partisan political effort to undo the 2016 election. This entire process has been a massive abuse of power by your party, as stated by Prof. Turley. I will be watching to see how my Representative votes. Thank you.”

Write a letter to the editor of your local paper

Below is a sample letter to the editor that you can use. Keep your letter civil, around/under 300 words, and proofread it before you mail or email it. If you can personalize it a little more than what is provided, that is great too.

Email your member of Congress

This action item is similar to the calling Congress item. There is a template that you can use below if your Rep. is a Democrat. Simply copy and paste it into your Rep.’s online form. Note: Almost all, if not all, Congressmen use online forms now instead of email addresses. You will want to search online for your Representative’s web page to locate the form.

If your member is a Republican, simply email with a thank you and tell him/her to keep up the great work. Tell him/her that constituents appreciate the Republicans’ strong, unified opposition to this impeachment sham.

If your member is a Democrat, you can use the following template or come up with your own. “Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I live in [City, State]. I’m writing to register my fierce opposition to this impeachment sham. We all know there was no crime and that this is a partisan political effort to undo the 2016 election. This whole process has been a massive abuse of power by your party, as stated by Prof. Turley. I will be watching to see how you vote. Thank you.”

Call or Tweet the 31 Democrats that won Trump districts in 2018

Some of these members absolutely do not want to impeach because they know it could very well cost them their re-election, and so they need to feel the heat. Even better, we only need 14 of them to vote with Republicans to defeat impeachment.

Use the same sample script used above for calling Democrats with one minor change – if you are not actually a constituent of the 31. If you are, just use the sample script from the “Call your Member of Congress” section. See below if you are not a constituent of the 31.

“Hello, my name is [Your Name], and I’m calling from [City, State]. I am not a constituent, but as your party is attempting to impeach a duly elected President of the United States for your own political gain, your actions and votes affect me greatly. I am calling to register my fierce opposition to this impeachment sham. We all know there was no crime and that this is a partisan political effort to undo the 2016 election. This entire process has been a massive abuse of power by your party, as stated by Prof. Turley. I will be watching to see how my Representative votes. Thank you.”
