| Right now, there are over 2 million adults in our country that are currently incarcerated. And each of those two million people lives without access to quality healthcare. Even though jails are required to provide care to inmates, the quality they provide isn’t comprehensive and doesn’t begin to touch major concerns like addiction and mental health treatment. We’re creating a patchwork quilt of coverage and our communities are suffering because of it. By providing necessary care to one of the most vulnerable populations, we can develop healthier and stronger communities.
