Tuesday, I was arrested at the Supreme Court while protesting for abortion
rights.

My colleagues and I put our bodies on the line because we will leave no
stone unturned in our fight for justice. We refuse to tolerate a handful
of far-right extremists controlling what decisions we can make with our
bodies.

We don't care what a far-right extremist Supreme Court that is in a crisis
of legitimacy says. Its racist, sexist, classist, and ableist ruling won't
stop us from accessing the care we need.

That’s why this week Sen. Tina Smith and I introduced legislation that
would codify protections for access to abortion medication so that we can
ensure everyone in this country can have access to an abortion — no matter
where they live.

I’m not backing down in this fight, but I can’t do this work

against anti-abortion extremists and defend our rights.

I don’t want to downplay this. We're currently witnessing the most
dangerous attacks on reproductive rights in our lifetime.

This is what Republicans have been working toward for decades. But we
won't let the GOP tell us to hide or be ashamed for demanding our right to
reproductive freedom.

That’s why last year I spoke publicly for the first time about getting an
abortion after I was sexually assaulted at the age of 17. And although it
doesn’t get easier to talk about — I know it’s an important story to share
so that we can understand the urgency of this moment as the GOP heightens
their attacks against access to abortion.

I’m going to continue sharing all of our stories and putting my body on
the line until reproductive justice is a reality in every corner of our
