Click here Dial 988 then Press 1 Signed into law in 2020, the National Suicide Hotline Designation Act authorized 988 as the new three-digit number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline (Lifeline). Because the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) administers the Veterans Crisis Line through the Lifeline’s national network, the Veterans Crisis Line was affected by this transition. As of July 16, 2022, the Veterans Crisis Line may now be reached by dialing 988 then Press 1. Please spread the word about the new shorter and Veterans may still dial 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, which will continue to be operational. Slow Start for the Blanket Drive We are approaching the end of month 1 for the annual Blanket Drive and its off to a bit of a slow start. We have collected 302 blankets of the 2,022 blanket goal.
