Praise God, justice has been served in Kenya! Friday, three police officers and one civilian were convicted of the
2016 murder of our friends Willie, Joseph and Josephat. This is a momentous decision that will send a strong message to police officers who abuse their powers that they will be held accountable. We are happy that this conviction is a big step to achieving police accountability in Kenya.
Latin America
Please pray that God would rescue, heal, and redeem these women who are currently suffering and pray for the denormalization of violence throughout Guatemala! Violence against women represents 65% of the most reported crimes in Guatemala, where approximately 27, 970 women are experiencing physical, economic, and psychological violence right now.
South Asia
Please pray for the hiring process for a number of roles that will help us expand in South Asia. We have already identified strategic locations with high rates of human trafficking, as well as potential partners who can help us strengthen local justice systems. Pray that our HR team can now identify top talent to help us expand to these areas and bring protection to millions more people. Pray for smooth logistics in interviewing and onboarding new staff, and pray for great joy for these new teams in the work of justice.
Southeast Asia
Please pray for open positions in our IJM Cebu office! Pray for God to bring people that can fight the online sexual exploitation of children with their skills in social work, legal, investigations and more.
