Dear friend,

The heat wave here in New York, and in so many other places around the world, make clear that the climate crisis is here. And in one of their last rulings in a very damaging June, the Supreme Court dealt a big blow to our efforts to curb it. 

Because of that, it's even more important that we pass bold climate action in Congress. But amid heatwaves, wildfires, and power outages, Joe Manchin has once again promised to kill any such plan. 

It's a big deal, because the climate crisis is here -- and we can't afford to wait any longer. Our communities, especially working communities and communities of color, are already feeling the impact, and unless we act now it will only get worse.
