DId you know? 287(g) contracts between ICE and police mean that for immigrants in many communities across the country, a routine traffic stop or broken tail light can lead directly to detention and deportation. 287(g) was one of Trump’s favorite policies– he tripled the size of the program.
When Biden was running for office, he promised he would cancel the 116 contracts Trump put in place. More than a year later, Biden canceled only 1 of these contracts. That’s unacceptable, and its why we’re joining Never Again Action in Washngton DC on July 25th to to demand the Biden administration end police-ICE terror! Can you join us?

287(g) contracts deputize police as ICE agents, which means that for undocumented people, any interaction with police — traffic stops, busted tail lights, seeking protection — can lead to detention, separation from their family, and possibly deportation.
Biden promised to make the U.S. a safer country for immigrants. But since he took office, the immigrant community has only seen broken promises - our community has seen over 2 million deportations and expulsions and no pathway to citizenship. The LEAST Biden could do is keep his campaign promise to end the 287(g) program. But he won’t– unless we make him.
That’s why we need to bring together our communities, our voices, our bodies, in Washington DC on July 25th to demand President Biden keep their campaign promise and end the 287(g) Police-ICE contracts that are terrorizing immigrant communities across the country. Join us.
