In red states all over the country, we’re seeing the worst case scenario play out when it comes to abortion access and reproductive rights.
People in search of care are being forced to cross state lines, or are finding themselves entirely unable to access needed abortion care. Patients are being denied medications that have nothing to do with reproductive care. And in Texas, Republicans are literally suing to let pregnant people die in situations where abortion could save a life.
If Republicans get their way, that will be the case all over the country. And we can’t count on Nathan Hochman to protect us.

But we know what happens when Republican-controlled state legislatures are allowed to restrict access to abortion care and deny reproductive rights – they do it. We’re seeing it play out right now, in states like Ohio, Georgia, and Texas.
If we’re going to ensure that California remains a state where abortion is legal and accessible, we have to rally now – we can’t wait till November.
