Dear John,

Last week the Trump administration unleashed more cruel and unusual punishment upon the very people who are struggling the most.

Hundreds of thousands of recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, are losing access to food stamps due to harsh, unfair rules around work requirements. These new rules will make it impossible for so many who are underemployed or in caregiving roles. Simply put — they won’t be able to eat.

In my district, the most unequal district in the nation in terms of wealth distribution, 12 percent of people depend on food stamps.

This extreme inequality is untenable. Can you chip in now to help me bring this fight to Washington? ([link removed])

We need courageous leaders to stop the abuse being perpetrated by our government.

All my best,

Lindsey
