Hey Folks,

We’ve been wondering what Glenn Youngkin’s go-to in-flight movie choices are as flies around the country prepping his presidential bid. “Gone with the Wind?” Perhaps “Gone in 60 Seconds?” One thing we do know: Glenn Youngkin is G-O-N-E.

So, where has he been?
- Glenn Youngkin’s wanderlust has taken him to New York, to meet with Republican megadonors as he fills his warchest for his bid for the presidency.
- The next week, Glenn Youngkin flew to Nebraska to headline their GOP convention, seeking support for his potential candidacy in the Cornhusker State.
- Then, on Monday, Glenn Youngkin showed up again – not in Virginia, but Colorado, this time to test his political fortune in the Rockies.

Governors of both parties often take political trips in office; what makes Glenn Youngkin’s journeys so alarming is the fact that they’ve been kept secret from the Virginians he took an oath to serve. Now, we can’t say we’re surprised that this governor has been doing so much jetsetting, but we’re used to governors traveling on behalf of the Commonwealth, not their own political ambition.

We expect more from our leaders here in Virginia. We’re not just a stepping stone for inexperienced and incompetent leaders to try on the shoes of a presidential candidate.

Can we count on you to chip in and support Virginia Democrats as we do the hard, but necessary work of defending our Commonwealth and protecting the progress we’ve made, even as Glenn Youngkin assumes the role of absentee governor?
