Team—whatever I’ve accomplished in life, I did it with the encouragement, the collaboration, and the generosity of others.
When we started the Wynkoop Brewing Company in 1988, we were a group of beer enthusiasts restoring the J.S. Brown building in downtown Denver, calling in favors from our friends, our families, our colleagues, and anyone else who’d stake a bet on us.
We sold 6,000 pints of beer at pre-Prohibition prices on opening night: 25 cents a pop.
A few years later when we opened the Phantom Brewing Company in Colorado Springs, it wasn’t due to the help of big investors. In fact, they all passed on the project. Instead, it was everyday people who each had a little drop of faith and chipped in to become partners in the enterprise.
I just had a beer at Phantom a few weeks ago, team, and it tasted just as good as ever.
I’ve seen the power of partnership and collaboration when it comes to making things happen.
Before our first full fundraising quarter of this campaign comes to a close, I’d like to personally invite you to be a Founding Partner—someone building this campaign from the ground up. Will you chip in today?
The challenge we’re taking on is far from easy.
Cory Gardner has some interested partners, too—dark money groups connected to the Koch network, shady organizations tied to Mitch McConnell, and of course the national Republican Party. They’re his partners—and they’ll do everything they can to hang on to this seat.
We’re looking for people to get in on the ground floor of our effort to make this the end of Gardner’s tenure and McConnell’s majority.
A donation isn’t just a dollar here—it’s a gesture of faith in the future we can build for Colorado, together. Will you become a Founding Partner now?
Thank you,
John
