It’s hard to believe that, right now, my daughters have fewer rights than their grandmother did.

Slowly but surely, Republicans have chipped away at our most fundamental rights. Bodily autonomy, reproductive freedom, and even the right to vote are just a few targets of the GOP’s assault on our democracy.

The far-right is not sitting idly by hoping to take back control of Congress. They’re mobilizing their radical supporters and raising millions of dollars to strip away our democracy.

And the worst part is, it’s working.

But there’s still time to beat them.

I started this campaign because we need leaders in Congress who will fight to push us forward, not hold us back. We need leaders who are ready to go to bat to defend our democracy, not work to tear it down. We need leaders who are in this for everyone , not just themselves.

That’s the kind of leader I want to be for Louisville.

As we move forward in this race, it’s more important than ever that this campaign has the support it needs to win in November. Because right now, the stakes are higher than just me. Losing in November means our kids, for the first time in American history, will have fewer rights than their parents.
