I made another difficult decision this week, folks.
It was during a meeting where it became evident that we would need to fight back harder than ever with Ron Johnson and the GOP ramping up their spending in Wisconsin (and already running their own TV ads!).
So I saw an opportunity to make a big investment that would pay off long-term, and we launched a new round of TV ads in Wisconsin. The money wasn’t in the budget, but I approved the plan anyway.
It’s a risky move, no doubt. But I know we can flip this Senate seat if we reach as many voters as possible with Sarah’s message. Of course, keeping these ads up and running costs money…
But I’ll be honest: I felt good about this decision because I knew that if we asked, you’d come through to help us win this race. I’m really hoping you will — it’s so important to the success of our campaign that we keep these ads up.
We think we could close the budget gap we created by going back up on TV if around 50 folks from Philadelphia are able to chip in and help us. Could I count on you to be among them? Every dollar you donate will go towards keeping our ad running so we can get Sarah’s message out to Wisconsin voters.

Look, I'm not the type to sugarcoat things — I don't do it with Sarah, and I'm not going to do it with you. I knew we would be taking a big risk when I gave the green light here, but I also knew that this grassroots team has seen us through thick and thin. That's what I'm counting on now.
We are going all-in to win this race, and I hope we can continue to count on your support — for Sarah, for the team, and for those who deserve better leadership than they’re getting from Ron Johnson in the U.S. Senate.
Thanks so much.
