  In the News: Barry Loudermilk Attacks Biden’s ‘War on American Energy’

Georgia’s 11th Congressional District Representative Barry Loudermilk criticized President Joe Biden and the EPA’s fiscal year (FY) 2023 budget on Tuesday.

“Biden’s war on American energy production is getting an assist from the Democrat-led Congress in the FY23 Interior and EPA appropriations package. [it] restricts offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico and restricts new projects in designated areas of the continental shelf,” Loudermilk said.

In their letter, Loudermilk and Carter asked Manfred if the MLB communicated with anyone before they made their decision, including local communities around Truist Park and members of the Georgia General Assembly.

“It’s vitally important for organizations, like Major League Baseball, to look at the facts and not the woke mob’s lies and falsehoods,” Loudermilk said. “Unfortunately, MLB didn’t do that when it pulled the 2021 All-Star Game from Georgia; because, if they had, they would have realized the falsehoods being spread about Georgia’s election law were nothing more than baseless talking points from Stacey Abrams and her allies, which have been debunked even by liberal newspapers.”

  In the News: GOP's Loudermilk Wants to Probe Jan. 6 Panel

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga., told Politico that he wants to chair a committee that investigates the House Jan. 6 select panel if Republicans take control of the chamber in November's midterms.

Loudermilk said he was interested in chairing the House Administration Committee, and using it to probe the Jan. 6 panel and Capitol security, Politico reported.

With Rep. Rodney Davis, R-Ill., losing his primary last month, Loudermilk is the most senior Republican on the Administration Committee, which has jurisdiction over the Capitol complex.

PART Act, H.R. 6394 by Rep. Jim Baird (R-IN)

-Would include catalytic converters on the list of automotive parts required to be stamped with VIN numbers. 

Military Spouse Hiring Act, H.R. 2974 by Rep. Antonio Delgado (D-NY) 

-Would amend the Work Opportunity Tax Credit to include military spouses. The unemployment rate for military spouses has ranged from 20-24% over the last several years.
