With 32 days until the August 23rd Primary Election, we are coming down the home stretch. These past few months, I have spoken to so many folks from all walks of life and I am so proud of the diverse district that I call home.

I’m proud to have endorsements from a variety of groups spanning the issues that our community faces, from immigration, labor, and public safety.

Each of these endorsements is deeply personal to me.

Growing up in a union family, I’ve experienced firsthand the benefits organized labor provides and will work with labor unions to expand those benefits to represent the needs of our community. I am honored to have the support of the Local 28 Union sheet metal worker’s union.

I am the proud son of Italian immigrants. My family came to this country searching for a brighter future, like so many immigrant families who live here. They became a part of the Italian-American community in the Bronx, owning and operating a local small business. Having the support of the Italian-American Political Action Committee means the world to me.

With the increase in violence throughout our country and our city, I am proud to have been named a Gun Sense Candidate by Mom’s Demand Action. Regardless of how you identify within the community, gun violence impacts all of us and that is why as your Senator, I will work to strengthen our gun laws and implement community-based violence prevention programs.
