On Tuesday night, while his family, friends and campaign staff celebrated together at their election headquarters in Maryland, Glenn Ivey recorded a video message.
It was a message to us—

thanking AIPAC and the pro-Israel community for making his remarkable come-from-behind victory possible.
Ivey was down 21 points just two months ago. On Tuesday night he defeated anti-Israel candidate Donna Edwards by 16 points—propelled by support from AIPAC members nationwide.
We understood the stakes: a former member of Congress with

a long track record of anti-Israel votes seeking to return to Washington and poised to undermine the U.S.-Israel relationship on Capitol Hill.
Our community responded—raising over $700,000 for Ivey’s campaign through the AIPAC Political Portal, while the AIPAC-backed super PAC flooded the airwaves in Maryland to educate voters on why Glenn Ivey was the better choice.
When we launched our new political model seven months ago it was with victories like this one in mind.
Our work is making a major impact, but we are not done. We need to continue this momentum not only through the August 2 primaries in Michigan, but for years to come.
