Folks, I’ve never let a little competition dissuade me.

I’m going to tell you why, but it’s a bit of a longer story. So, I’ll ask upfront: will you chip in to help me win my tough re-election battle?

Growing up, I joined a swim team with my six siblings – my mother wanted us out of the house!

My love for swimming stuck with me throughout much of my childhood and into high school. It ignited a passion that I hadn’t tapped into before – competition.

Before every swim meet, we wished one another good luck because we knew that, at the end of the day, we could be proud of the winner. If one of us didn’t come out on top, there was always next time to try again.

Fast forward to being a young adult where I faced challenges as I looked to map out my future. From working through college to facing legislative battles to fund public schools in my nonprofit work, there was always another challenge that I needed to tackle.

And to this day, I still find myself in situations where I need to tap into my inner sense of competition to get the job done.

Whether it’s pushing hard for legislation that I know will better the lives of my constituents or standing up against the GOP’s heinous agenda – I’ve always been up for the challenge.

But this competition in NV-03 is unlike any challenge I’ve faced in my life.

I’m up against April Becker, the most extreme Republican to ever run in this district and the Republican Party is gearing up to spend millions to support her. They know that if they unseat me in November, they’ll likely take control of the House.

GOP special interests and big names like Mike Pence have already spent hundreds of thousands in television ads to spread lies about my record and misrepresent my goal, which has always been fighting for my district.

Even with so much against our campaign, I want the GOP and my opponent to know that I’m going to continue putting up one hell of a fight to win this race.

Folks, as much as I’m committed to doing all I can to hold this seat, I’d be lying if I said I could do this without your support.
