FIRST: I helped found the New North Carolina Project to bridge the disconnect in NC between our leaders and the needs of our communities of color.
THEN: NNCP began creating #LifelongVoters through our uniquely designed ground game, and we saw record-breaking turnout in NC’s May primary election.
NOW: We’re in the final stretch of our get-out-the-vote program for Tuesday’s local elections, working to turn out voters of color in this vital election.
Jack, with the highest voter turnout in a decade, it’s clear the work we’re doing on the ground is working. But local elections, like the ones this Tuesday in some parts of NC, are often forgotten and overshadowed. NNCP is here to change that.
Will you donate $5 today to help us maximize voter turnout in North Carolina’s Black, Brown, Latinx, Indigenous, and Asian communities and create a more equitable NC? We must reach our $1,500 goal by midnight tonight!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
High and consistent turnout is key to empowering our communities of color and stopping the assault on our rights that we’ve seen all across the country. We cannot take a single election for granted!
From local elected officials all the way up to the President of the United States, creating the change we need requires our votes and voices to be heard. Help amplify the voices of North Carolina’s Black, Brown, Latinx, Indigenous, and Asian communities by donating whatever you can afford right now.
I hope you’ll join me,
Dr. Aimy Steele
