The leading voice for the 48 million American women living with or at risk of heart disease
Updated Red WomenHeart Banner

Dear  John,

Legislation is moving in Congress which would expand access to health coverage for women after pregnancy – a time when many are at risk for life-threatening heart conditions. The Helping MOMS Act (H.R. 4996) allows states to extend Medicaid coverage for women postpartum for up to twelve months.

We need your voice to pass this bill!

Currently, Medicaid covers close to 50% of births in the United States, yet it is only required to cover women for 60 days postpartum. In order to address disparities in maternal health outcomes and to ensure any woman at risk for a heart condition receives care, it is critical that Medicaid cover all women for at least one year after pregnancy.

Click here to email your Representative and tell them to support the Helping MOMS Act!

Together, we can improve women’s heart health.

Thank you,
