Our Constitution makes it clear that the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The God-given right to own a firearm is what separates America from every other country in the world.
In nearly every dictatorial regime change since the advent of firearms, the tyrants have seized control by disarming the citizenry.
We can't allow this to continue. Chairman Nadler even insinuated that an Australian system of gun confiscation would be preferable to his party.

Democrats have no respect for the millions of lawful gun owners in this country, and want the only citizens with guns to be violent criminals. As your representative, I will never let them.
The left’s chickens have come home to roost. Years of anti-police rhetoric and efforts to defund law enforcement have led to a rapid spike in crime across the country. Since 2019, there has been a 28.64% rise in crime in the United States. Democrats want to ban responsible gunowners, like Elijah Dickens of Indianapolis, from owning a firearm. This week, in a selfless act of heroism, Elijah stopped a violent gunman at the Greenwood Park Mall from committing a mass shooting through precise marksmanship and his willingness to act.

Once Democrats start banning weapons, they won’t stop. Despite the tens of millions of guns in this country and the nearly 2.5 million AR-15s sold last year, the left has no regard for the Supreme Court’s Heller decision, the Constitution or the unalienable right to protection that shall not be infringed.

This Tuesday the so-called "Respect for Marriage Act" was passed in the House in an attempt to federally legislate the institution of marriage. Democrats are engaged in a damaging culture war against anyone who dares to step out of line with the latest liberal orthodoxy. This bill is an attack on Americans who hold the view that marriage is between one man and one woman, continuing a long trend of Democrats’ attacks on conservative and religious Americans, whom they view as ‘deplorables’.

Students in District 8 interested in coding are invited to compete in this year’s National Congressional App Challenge. Individuals or teams may submit their application for any digital platform (web app, desktop/PC app, a web browser extension, robot, Ruby on Rails, mobile, etc.) and can use any programming language (C/C++, Objective C, C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Ruby, PHP, Swift, “block code”, etc.).
App submissions must show some degree of functionality to be competitive!
