We fund voter protection Did you hear the news, John? A federal judge has BLOCKED a set of North Carolina laws that would seriously impact ballot access for disabled voters. Truthfully, it’s disheartening that laws like this are even getting passed … but John, that’s why organizations like Power the Vote exist. We have seen first hand that barriers to voting disproportionately impact voters of color, the elderly, low-income voters, and voters with disabilities. We are committed to fighting for equitable outcomes for all voters, addressing systemic injustices, and amplifying marginalized voices. That’s why every day, we’re working to block Republican attempts to suppress voting rights, interfere with ballot access and falsely affect election outcomes. But we know the attacks won’t stop yet, so we can’t either.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: We know how to win in cases like this. Our team developed a groundbreaking voter protection strategy in Georgia in 2020, and we won. So believe us when we say that we know exactly what we need to do to defend voting rights nationwide in 2022. We’re funding voter protection staff in key battleground states – and they’re working year-round to ensure that voters can cast a ballot and have their voices heard. Onward, Jamil Favors
