Dear John,
At the start of July next year the minimum wage will finally reach $15 an hour. This is an amazing victory for working people and the result of years of organizing by workers and their allies. Unfortunately all too many workers are not being paid the current minimum wage of $14 an hour and we have no reason to believe this will change once we reach $15. As a community of workers, advocates, and organizers we must learn how to protect each other from wage theft.
That is why we want to invite you to tomorrow's Pay Stub Clinic to learn how to spot wage theft. This training is great for workers and organizers interested in learning more about DC's labor laws and how to defend yourself and others from wage theft.
