Summer grew up in the Mon Valley, right in the heart of Pennsylvania's 12th District. She saw early on what it meant for corporations to choose their own wealth over our health and put profits over people.
Summer understands that $7.25 an hour is a starvation wage, that health care is a human right, that a strong union movement is imperative to working people, that climate change is an existential threat, and that people — not the government — should control their own bodies.
