Team,
The Cook Political Report scores each district with its “Partisan Voting Index” (PVI) – measuring how strongly it leans Democrat or Republican. For their 2022 scores, a Cook PVI score of D+1, for example, means that in the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections, the district performed about one point more Democratic than the nation did as a whole, while a score of R+2 means the district performed about two points more Republican. As part of their latest analysis ahead of the midterm elections, they’ve released PVI scores for every district. Based on these scores, some of our Members are in for a challenge.
These NewDems have run and won in competitive districts and know how to communicate with swing voters and turn out the vote. But with a growing number of our NewDem Members targeted by the GOP, your support could not be more important.
NewDems are on the frontline of our Democratic Majority. Will you rush $5 or more to help us support these NewDems with tough races and defend our Majority in Congress?

As we head closer to November, Republicans are looking at which Democratic districts are most vulnerable – and they will use these scores to make decisions about where to pump money into attack ads and negative mailers to unseat our Members.
