Dear Neighbors,

Last week, we received word that inflation in America has reached 9.1%. This is the highest level of inflation since 1981. The impacts of inflation and the consequences of the Biden/Walz economies are causing tremendous damage to family budgets across Minnesota.?

Prices this high are unsustainable and it clear that we need to right the ship and ditch the reckless Biden/Walz spending spree that has put us in this mess.

Soaring inflation is coming at a time when Minnesota state government is sitting on the largest budget surplus in history. This is unconscionable. Looking forward, I will advocate for permanent and meaningful tax relief for ALL Minnesotans so that you can keep more of your hard-earned money. More money in your pocket will help combat the impacts of inflation.

*Veterans Bonuses*

This past session, the legislature approved legislation that provides bonus payments to post-9/11 veterans and Gold Star Families. This is something that Minnesota has done previously as bonuses have been paid to service members for other conflicts including WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Because of the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan in 2021, post-9/11 veterans are now eligible to receive these bonuses.

The application period has officially opened, and the last day to apply is June 30, 2024, unless the funds have been exhausted prior to that date.
