Long before Dr. Oz or Herschel Walker or J.D. Vance were running for office as far-right darlings promoting Republican conspiracy theories, there was another candidate running with this playbook: our opponent Ted Budd.

Ted Budd proved his loyalty as a MAGA Republican in Congress by pushing the big lie and culture war nonsense. That’s why he was Donald Trump’s hand-picked first Senate endorsement of the cycle — months before he waded into any other Senate race to back these other clowns.

This is why Senate Republicans’ super PACs have made our race one of their very top priorities. They are spending more money in North Carolina than all but one other Senate race.

This should tell you exactly how extreme Ted Budd is. He proved his loyalty to the MAGA agenda in Congress – including voting to overturn the election on January 6, and far-right super PACs are going to stop at nothing to make sure they install a rubber stamp in this seat.

It’s our job to make sure that doesn’t happen.
