Dear Neighbors,

Last week, I welcomed a group of students from a local YMCA to the capital for a tour. It?s always great to spend time with young people and share my thoughts and experiences from St. Paul with them.

*Veterans Bonus Pay Available*

This year, the legislature approved a Veterans Bill that included service bonuses to post-9/11 era veterans and Gold Star Families. Previously, Minnesota has given bonuses to service members for other conflicts including WWI, WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. Because of the withdrawal of forces from Afghanistan in 2021, post-9/11 veterans are now eligible to receive these bonuses.

The application period has officially opened, and the last day to apply is June 30, 2024, unless the funds have been exhausted prior to that date.
