John,

If we don’t hold politicians accountable for their tyrannical actions, they
won’t stop until all of our freedoms are trampled.

California Governor Gavin Newsom has been running roughshod over your freedoms
since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and he doesn’t appear to be
slowing down anytime soon.

You see, Governor Newsom declared a state of “emergency” in 2020 so that he
could restrict your ability to gather, protest, worship, work, etc. without
having to go to the state legislature for approval.

And as you and I predicted, more than two years later, he still hasn’t given
that authority back to the legislature.

So, while Newsom goes on vacations and travels across the country,
Californians are stuck living under a state of “emergency,” with a governor
treating the state like his personal fiefdom.

For more than two years we’ve been zealously challenging, in court, Newsom’s
blanket shutdown of schools…

…and although schools have since reopened, we cannot allow this injustice to
ever happen again.

Now, with your support, we’re petitioning the Supreme Court of the United
States to hear this critical case.

But filing this petition and seeing this battle through to the finish won’t be
easy or cheap.

We need to raise an additional $50,000 to help cover our costs and take this
fight all the way to the top.

Which is why I’m asking you to send an urgent gift of $35 or more today and
help us take the fight for schools to the Supreme Court.

You see, Newsom’s unilateral decision to close schools left thousands of kids
without equal access to education.

Newsom’s lockdowns weren’t just limited to public schools either – he ordered
private and religious institutions to close their doors as well.

But, with your help, we won at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals when the
court correctly ruled that Newsom did not have authority to close private or
religious schools and in doing so deprived parents of their Due Process rights.

Unfortunately, an en banc Ninth Circuit court reversed and vacated our win
determining that the issue was now moot.

But you and I know this issue is not moot.

In the last week, public school systems in Los Angeles and in San Diego
announced intentions to reinstate indoor mask requirements.

It couldn’t be clearer, COVID restrictions aren’t permanently going away
unless the courts rule them unconstitutional.

Because you and I both know that once radical politicians grab new power in
the name of an “emergency,” they never give it up.

That’s why it’s so important that we take this case the Supreme Court.

Will you join us with a gift of $35 or more today?

And, as you and I have seen, what happens in California, never stays there.

Once one governor gets away with it, another one copies the blueprint to grab
power for themselves.

We won’t stand by as our freedoms are attacked.

We’ve already won THREE cases in front of the Supreme Court challenging COVID
restrictions on religious liberty, and, with your help, we’ll add another
victory to that tally.

But we can’t do it without you.

So please, make an urgent, tax-deductible donation of $35 or more today and
help us keep schools open and keep tyrants like Newsom at bay.

Thank you in advance for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Harmeet K. Dhillon
