I’m originally from Georgia and I’ve been a fan of Stacey’s for a long time – so might be a *little* biased – but she delivered one of the most inspiring speeches I’ve ever seen.

One of my favorite parts was when she called Minnesota the “North Star of American Democracy” because of our historically high voter turnout.

We’re building everyday to live up to our reputation so we can keep Minnesota blue and make Donald Trump a one-term President. But we can’t do it without your help.

I was in Minnesota last night addressing a room full of fired-up DFLers and I had to follow up this morning because this is so important.

The work DFLers do over the next 11 months couldn’t be more critical to the future of our country. President Trump has made it clear that he’ll do anything to flip Minnesota red next year, and if he’s successful, he’ll cement his re-election.

A Democrat must win Minnesota to win the White House. The Trump campaign is well aware, and they’ve pledged to spend $30 million to keep it from happening.

My friend, none of us can afford another four years of this disastrous Presidency. That’s why I’m proud to be fighting side-by-side with the Minnesota DFL to keep Minnesota blue in 2020.

Minnesota has a proud Democratic legacy of grassroots organizing. The DFL is working hard every day to build on it, but they can’t do it without your help. So as they charge to meet their end-of-year budget targets, I’m reaching out personally to ask:

Will you join me today and donate $5 or more to help the DFL keep Minnesota blue in 2020 and make Donald Trump a one-term President?

On top of stopping Trump from flipping Minnesota red, the DFL is fighting to hold the line up and down the ballot in some of the most competitive races in the nation next year, including at the state level.

The fight to end voter suppression starts in the states, and take it from me, it’s one of the most consequential issues of our time. Access to quality health care, strong public schools, and good jobs with fair wages is only possible if we protect the right to vote.

We can never let the Republicans use the same playbook they used against me in 2018 again, especially not in a critical battleground state like Minnesota.
