The 2022 election is shaping up to be a historic fight for civil rights.

On one side, we have a party that largely is trying to strip them away – from safe and legal access to abortion to marriage equality, to everything in between.

The other side? Well, that would be us: people committed to protecting freedoms for all.

Just this week I was proud to join my colleagues in the House in voting for the bipartisan Respect for Marriage Act to enshrine marriage equality for all and prohibit discrimination against same-sex and interracial couples.

I am honored to be endorsed in this fight by the Human Rights Campaign PAC, who have been on the front lines of this fight for years .

It is both my privilege and my duty to stand with the Human Rights Campaign – today, tomorrow, and every day going forward, protecting the rights and freedoms of people who are facing near-constant attack.

Because that is the oath I swore in Congress: to defend our country and its people. I take that oath seriously.

Rick

P.S. If you are able, I would be honored to have your support as we keep up this fight through November and beyond . [[link removed]]
