Dear Neighbors,

It is an honor to bring our Fridley, New Brighton, and Spring Lake Park voices to the Capitol.? I?m always interested to get your feedback to the e-updates I send during and after the legislative session. Due to a state law prohibiting e-mails like these in an election period sixty days after session adjournment, this will be my final newsletter this summer.

I am, however, still available to help with the state-level inquires and assistance. Thank you for joining me in our work together to improve the state and our community. A few reminders: This Friday, July 22 is the last day to apply for the frontline worker bonus pay. Money set aside for this program will be split equally among all approved applicants. Many in our community were not able to work from home during the height of the pandemic and we all are very appreciative of those who put themselves in harm?s way during the darkest days of COVID-19. Check to see if you?re eligible [ [link removed] ] and spread the word to friends and family.

Public meetings are underway with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) to share feedback on new concepts to improve safety for people walking, biking and driving along University and Central Avenues (Hwys 47 and 65). MnDOT is hosting another meeting on *July 27.* Here is the information:

HWY 47/UNIVERSITY AVE. SOUTH OF 37th AVE. -- Northeast Minneapolis

In-person: Wed, July 27 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Sheridan Elementary School, 1201 University Ave. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413
