John, On Tuesday, the Ohio Supreme Court struck down the Ohio congressional map and ordered the General Assembly to draw new districts. I wanted to take a moment to explain to you, directly, about what this means. First, it’s important to know that this decision does not impact the November 2022 election. Regardless of what the 2024 congressional map may look like, we are still going head-to-head with Madison Gesiotto Gilbert – our extremist, MAGA Republican opponent who believes the government should control private healthcare decisions – this November. John, even though this decision does not alter our district or change our opponent in November, it does impact our strategy. We are going to need to invest in significant resources to combat voter confusion and misinformation. I’m personally asking: Will you please chip in to help us invest in the strategies we need to win?
Look, the Ohio Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the congressional map is yet another example of how far Republicans are willing to go to maintain power. While the Ohio redistricting process may feel incredibly unfair and unjust – as we are now running in a congressional district that has been deemed unconstitutional – I don’t want us to lose sight of the fight we have ahead of us: electing a pro-choice, pro-climate, pro-democracy representative to Congress. I have no doubt that on November 8, 2022, with the support of this team, we are going to defeat Madison Gesiotto Gilbert and her dangerous, far-right agenda. So, John, could you please chip in whatever you can to help us combat voter misinformation through on-the-ground outreach and TV and digital ads, as well as invest in the infrastructure we need to win this election?
Thank you so much for your support throughout this campaign. I know that, with the support of this grassroots team, we can accomplish anything! Onward to November, Emilia |
