People like Tucker Carlson love to attack our city.

And while Chicago has real challenges to address, it is undeniably a great place to live. You don't just have to take my word for it. A Time Out survey found that Chicago ranked as the second best city in the world — the only US city to rank in the top 15.

We have a rich history and incredible food, arts, and culture. Most of all, Chicago is home to some of the most generous, hardworking, and friendly folks around.

That doesn’t mean we don’t have work to do to make our city the best it can be. We need to address the gun violence that has afflicted too many, provide good-paying jobs, and continue to fight inequality in our city. But I envision a brighter future for Chicago and I’ll never stop fighting for us.
