My three kids are well into their adult years, but I still think about them every minute of every day. As a mother, I always worry about their safety — especially right now.
There hasn’t been a single week in 2022 without a mass shooting. Our schools, our grocery stores, even our holiday parades are not safe from the gun violence epidemic spreading throughout our country. Enough is enough.
It’s time to enact common-sense gun laws and condemn the permitless carry bills legislators like my opponent have tried to pass. It’s time to mandate background checks and red flag laws, and it’s time to stop sending wishes for peace without any meaningful course of action.
