Team,

Just last week, I voted to pass legislation to protect abortion access and codify Roe v. Wade once and for all. Americans have a constitutional right to make choices about their own bodies, and my fellow House Democrats and I voted to cement that right.

However, this crucial bill is sadly destined to die in the Senate. There are not enough votes for it to become law. But as frustrating as that is, this fight to ensure abortion access nationwide is far from over.

The consequences of Republicans’ extreme abortion bans in several states are already dire and can only get worse. And make no mistake: if Kevin McCarthy, Mitch McConnell and their band of MAGA Republicans reclaim a majority in Congress, they will ban abortions nationwide too.

These bans will put countless women's lives at risk and strip them of their autonomy and right to privacy, treating them like second-class citizens. We cannot allow that to happen. Can you chip in to help us keep Republicans in the minority and elect more Democrats like me who will protect abortion rights? [[link removed]]

I know how scary this is right now. This full-frontal assault on our civil rights is unparalleled, dangerous and deeply un-American. But I’m not done fighting. And I hope you will stand with me.

Hang in there, friends. If we stick together, we can overcome this.
