New Webinars and Autobiography Course from “A Church Dismantled—A Kingdom Restored”
------------------------------------------------------------


Over the past two years, sociologist and pastor Dr. Conrad Kanagy has offered a thesis that “God is Dismantling the Church.” Through a podcast ([link removed]) and book series ([link removed]) , he has used his own story of a mid-life Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis as a metaphor of lament and hope for the Church. Kanagy is now offering five webinars entitled “A Kingdom Restored” and a course entitled “Re-storying Your Story.” While the webinars focus on the restoration of the church, the writing course teaches participants to recover and write their own stories by listening deeply to their lives. Besides his memoirs, Dr. Kanagy is the author of a forthcoming biography of theologian Walter Brueggemann. Both the webinar and the course share the theme of restoration amid our personal and ecclesial “dismantlings.”

The five webinars are scheduled for Fridays from Noon to 3 p.m. EST and the writing course Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m. EST beginning September 8. Registration for both includes video and audio recordings. The cost of the five webinars is $150.00 and for the course $200.00--or both for $300.00. Conrad L. Kanagy is Professor of Sociology at Elizabethtown College, PA, and the author of seven books and numerous articles on the American and global church. A graduate of Wheaton College, he has a Ph.D. from Penn State. He is a writer for Anabaptist World ([link removed]) .
