Our democracy is at stake. You can help.

John,

During the 2016 election, Russia targeted the election systems in all 50 states and stole the personal information of 500,000 U.S. voters.

Our country is facing a national emergency, and former Rep. Rick Lazio (R-NY), a member of Issue One’s ReFormers Caucus, and Jon Murphy, a cybersecurity advisor to the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, agree. In their recent op-ed they wrote:

“We face a national security emergency. Our greatest institutions are under siege. We must overcome partisan politics and work together to protect the nation, and the integrity of our elections.”

Yet Washington continues to do nothing about this crisis, and legislation to secure our elections continues to stall. It’s time to protect our democracy from foreign adversaries. Let’s put country over party and seize on this crucial moment together.

Earlier this year, Issue One launched our “Don’t Mess With US” project aimed at stopping foreign interference in our elections through the passage of commonsense, bipartisan legislation. We’ve ramped up the pressure on lawmakers and are taking our message to states across the country to spread the word about how we can protect the integrity of our political process. Let’s turn up the heat!

This is our democracy moment. Help us build on our work and together we can protect our democratic freedoms!

Thank you for your support,
