Vanguard is one of the world’s top two investors in companies driving deforestation and violating human rights worldwide. In a recent greenwashing attempt, Vanguard released an “emissions reduction plan” that was wholly insufficient.

In fact, it was by far the least ambitious “plan” in the asset management industry, and it fails to address the climate crisis we're facing. We, alongside Vanguard customers, activists, and financial experts, cannot accept it.

Tell Vanguard to go back to the drawing board and announce a new and substantive plan to actually reduce emissions. That second-draft plan should also include new oil and gas exclusion policies – crucial for protecting the Amazon.

We know Vanguard is doing the bare minimum to protect the planet’s future, Indigenous communities in the Amazon, and in turn, its clients – potentially YOU.
