Here’s Nancy Mace’s response to the overturning of Roe:
1. She made clear she supports the state deciding what women get to do with their bodies. The SC legislature is pushing through a total abortion ban with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the person’s life being in danger.
2. She skipped a critical vote to protect people who leave their state to access abortion care.
3. While people are having their lives ripped apart, her big solution is a bill that establishes a website with resources for pregnant people.
As a doctor, I can tell you a website doesn’t help when people's lives are at risk and that, coupled with her other moves to limit abortion rights, it’s disgraceful.
But I want to know what you think. Do you agree that we need leaders who will actually go to bat for reproductive rights, not just avoid her responsibilities?

South Carolina state legislators plan to enact a total abortion ban in South Carolina with NO exceptions in the case of rape, incest, or if the woman's life is in danger, a move Mace has made clear she supports.
She’s using the creation of a website to excuse her refusal to protect abortion rights, once again, showing us that with her life starts at conception and ends at a mass shooting.
A website will not save pregnant women who will get sick, die, or are victims of rape. Do you agree with me it’s time for a real pro-choice leader in SC-01?

I can tell you just how dangerous this push to limit reproductive healthcare is — it’s life or death. A website won't help. On Election Day, we need to have lots of blue representation throughout the state, especially District One.
We must expand our majority and protect our reproductive healthcare.
