Last week, Senator Joe Manchin abruptly shut down historic climate investments. He betrayed the American public and the Democratic Senate's mandate to act on climate.

The climate crisis is only getting worse—just look at the historic heatwaves, wildfires, and droughts across the U.S. and Europe. And without substantive U.S. climate leadership, the world will miss our climate goals and continue down this needlessly destructive path.
So, here's an inside look at how we're pushing forward in the fight for a clean energy future:
Our 100% Clean Power campaign is mobilizing support for policies from the EPA, the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commision, and other agencies that will rapidly accelerate the transition to 100% clean electricity.
Our Freedom from Fossil Fuels campaign is fighting to end fossil fuel corporations' abuse of public resources, end oil and gas drilling on public lands and waters, and support a just transition for impacted communities.
States must once again lead on climate. We're investing in key battlegrounds to strategically support state-based climate action.
We will continue to push the Biden administration to use the full extent of their executive authority on climate action—and deliver the whole-of-government approach that helped him get elected.
President Biden has pledged to cut climate pollution by 50% by 2030, reach 100% clean electricity by 2035, and ensure prioritized federal investment in disadvantaged communities through his Justice40 Initiative. Without Congress' support, the president must work harder than ever to meet those goals.
Read about the five things Biden can do right now—and get ready to fight harder than ever for the future we need and deserve.
