FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JULY 21, 2022 CONTACT: [email protected]; 602-715-2449 Masters Campaign Caught in Lie – The Videotape Contradicts Recent Election Statements Masters told GOP group in 2021, “I don’t know what happened in the 2020 election... I don’t think it is rigged.” (Arizona) – The Masters’ campaign’s pushback against claims by two associates that Blake Masters, “admitted privately as recently as 2021 that Biden won the 2020 election, but felt he needed to call the election fraudulent to win Trump’s endorsement,” (The Washington Post, “Arizona Senate candidate embraces Trump’s extreme style,” 7/2022) completely crumbles in light of video released today by the Lamon campaign, in which Masters says to an Arizona Republican group, “I don’t know what happened in the 2020 election…I don’t think it is rigged.” Masters even called the idea the 2020 election was rigged an “extreme view.” Here’s what Masters said in April 2021: -
“Look, I don’t know what happened in the 2020 election. I don’t. I think that’s part of the problem. We don’t know. There’s a whole spectrum of, you know, maybe the Democrats played pretty aggressively with ballot harvesting, all the way to, no, its pretty rigged and they flipped some switches in the voting systems and it’s rigged. And I’m sympathetic. I don’t know what the truth is. I know it’s a problem that that spectrum exists. It’s a problem that there’s not enough transparency. Right? How are you supposed to know? … I would just push back a little bit on the extreme view and I push back on my dad on this, I don’t think you can think it’s rigged. … It’s not rigged. It’s not rigged, it’s just really really really bad.” Before he ran for Senate, Masters held liberal positions on numerous issues, including supporting open borders and unrestricted immigration, abortion, and legalization of hard drugs like meth, fentanyl and cocaine. “Fake Blake is a total fraud, including on the issue of election fraud,” said Amy Wilhite. “Just look at his own words. He has engaged in craven pandering so cynical that we would be embarrassed for him if the senate majority wasn’t on the line in Arizona. The fact is he would be a master disaster as the Republican nominee, and that is dangerous for the Republic.” ### Paid for by Jim Lamon for Senate | Don't want to receive our emails anymore?
