JOHN,
This week I joined 16 other Democrats from the House of Representatives and was arrested while protesting for abortion rights in front of the Supreme Court.
I understand the urgency of this moment, unlike too many of my colleagues in Congress. We’re up against a powerful far-right minority that’s coming for our rights in order to hold onto power. And we need fighters in Congress who won’t back down.
I’m running for re-election, which we do every two years in the House of Representatives—and Election Day is under two weeks away.
Can you chip in today so I can stay in Congress fighting for the bold changes we need and deserve?

JOHN,
Yesterday, I was arrested with 16 other members of Congress while protesting for abortion rights in front of the Supreme Court.
While marching to the Court with grassroots advocates, we chanted “We won’t go back!” and wore bandanas proclaiming “We won’t back down.” We will do whatever it takes to protect reproductive freedom.
Last week in the House of Representatives, we passed two essential pieces of legislation to secure and expand our rights to access abortion. While overwhelmingly popular with the American people, these bills won’t pass the unrepresentative Senate unless Democratic Senators abolish the filibuster.
Please sign now to demand that the U.S. Senate abolish the filibuster and codify the right to abortion in federal law.
We must move with urgency in order to secure the health, well-being, and autonomy of women and those who can get pregnant nationwide.
One of the important bills we passed in the House last week would protect the right to travel across state lines for abortion care—because state-level Republicans want to infringe on that right.
In many states, the GOP is targeting patients and those who help them—including healthcare providers—with violence and criminalization. Meanwhile, Republican members of Congress have already introduced and discussed their support for a national abortion ban.
We’re up against the far-right minority, and it’s up to us to fight back.
Sign if you agree: The U.S. Senate must abolish the filibuster and secure the right to abortion in federal law.
You can always count on me on the House floor and in the streets when it comes to protecting reproductive freedom. Let’s keep the movement growing!
In solidarity,
Rashida
