John,
We wanted to make sure you saw our message:
The Supreme Court recently gutted the Clean Air Act, curbing the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. This decision has grave consequences for the air we breathe and mitigating an intensifying climate crisis — but we can fight back.
By organizing to elect our 2022 candidates and build progressive state legislatures, we can ensure we have the leadership required to combat climate change and protect our communities for generations to come.
Can you pitch in $5 — or anything you can — to elect strong, progressive candidates at the state level who will fight boldly to protect our environment this November? Our health, safety, and future depend on it.
In solidarity,
Sister District

Everyone deserves clean air to breathe.
While that shouldn't be a controversial sentence, the Supreme Court's recent decision in West Virginia v. EPA directly opposes that very simple idea.
With federal authority to fight climate change now severely limited, building progressive state legislatures is once again the path forward to protect our future.
We're so proud that all of our 2022 candidates have pledged to protect the environment – but for them to put that pledge into action we have to make sure they win their elections this year.
Will you make a gift to support our work building progressive state legislatures today? With the Supreme Court undoing decades worth of progress, electing strong candidates at the state level is one of the only ways we can protect ourselves and our communities.

Right now, we're backing candidates in Michigan who are protecting the Great Lakes. We're supporting candidates in Arizona who are taking action to address droughts. We're boosting candidates in North Carolina who are pitching innovative solutions to storm surges and flooding resulting from more frequent hurricanes.
These are just some of the things that our 2022 candidates are running on:
- Creating smart infrastructure that creates jobs and protects our environment.
- Holding polluters accountable.
- Improving water quality and making polluters clean up groundwater contamination.
- Electrifying our governmental fleet and expanding public charging stations.
- Protecting groundwater from droughts by ensuring responsible water usage and holding developers and corrupt utilities accountable when they deplete our shared water supply.
By electing these candidates we'll make sure we have the progressive leadership on the state level that will protect our communities from pollution, environmental degradation, and climate change no matter what the Supreme Court decides.
But it's going to take a lot of resources to make sure those candidates win their elections so they can put these ambitious plans into practice. You can do your part help us get those resources by making a gift today.
In solidarity,
The Sister District Team
